Color Perfect BB Cream

BB cream is an all-in-one facial cosmetic product designed to replace, moisturizer, primer, foundation and sunblock. It can be worn alone as a tinted moisturizer, over serum and moisturizer as a regular foundation, and under powder, depending on the desired amount of coverage. It contains 15% Titanium Dioxide, a physical sun block,
BB creams were originally formulated in the 1960s in Germany by dermatologist Dr. Christine Schrammek to protect her patients' skin after facial peels and surgery. It was Introduced to South Korea and Japan in 1985 – where healthy-looking, porcelain skin is heavily prized – the cream was hailed as "the secret of Korean actresses," and was heavily endorsed by Korean celebrities.

Because Korean companies focused initially on the Korean and East Asian markets, they are offered in a limited number of hues. Instead of offering multiple shades for different skin tones, most formulas are designed to oxidize to match the user's skin tone. Shades available are Light, Medium and Med/Drk.
Color Perfect BB Cream is a Broad Spectrum sunscreen with an SPF rating of 30, the minimum recommended by most dermatologists. It is a multi-tasker, an all-in-one treatment, an alternative to foundation, especially for women who find traditional foundations too heavy for their taste.

Introducing the Glamour Grip Makeup Sponge

Welcome to my new blog. As the author of The Color Advisor blog for 4 years, I found myself wanting to talk about makeup much more than I thought would be appropriate on a blog meant to advise women on the importance and impact of color in their homes, in their lives and on their bodies.

As a personal color consultant I advise women on how best to enhance their own physical coloring by seeing themselves as works of art with a particular color scheme that can be seen it optical light by choosing and combining clothing and makeup colors for the most beautiful effect.

My website www.ColorPerfectStore.com allows women to shop, choose and pay for makeup products and application tools right from their homes. I also respond to e mails and phone requests for recommendations for shoppers who have never had a professional color analysis.

Starting today I plan to use this blog to talk about products, show color swatches and suggest the right tools to have in your beauty kit in a more in depth way than I am able to on the store website. I hope you'll  choose to follow my blog so you'll receive an e mail alert when I've made a new posting.

Glamour Grip Sponge
$10.50 at www.colorperfectstore.com
In time I hope to insert instructional videos and before and after pictures of clients who are transformed by the right colored makeup.

Today I am introducing the Glamour Grip makeup sponge available at www.colorperfectstore.com You may have seen similar sponges on the market selling for up to $20 each. Our sponge is the same size and quality and sells for $10.50.  It is the best makeup sponge I've ever used. What makes it different is the shape and the density. It is not a use and toss item. With a little care it will last you up to a year. It can be used dry or wet but I prefer to use it wet. It can be used to apply ALL types of foundations- liquids, creams, and pressed wet/dry powder foundations. It gives a beautiful even finish while keeping your fingers out of your makeup.

Wet the sponge. It will almost double in size. Then squeeze it as tight as you can to get as much water out as possible. If you don't have a strong grip, wrap it in a clean paper or cloth towel and squeeze it. Apply makeup to the bottom flatter part and pounce the makeup first in the parts of your face needing the most coverage and then to the perimeter. Use the pointed end to get at the nooks in the corners of your eyes and around your nostrils and above your lips.

After application, rinse the sponge with warm water and squeeze out as much of the remaining color as possible. It will NOT all come out. Every couple of uses give it a more thorough cleaning using a mild soap and a drop of oil. It can be baby oil or even vegetable oil. This helps lift out the color. If you have long nails be careful not to tear the sponge with your nails when squeezing it.

Note: the sponge comes in various pastel colors but we are not able to fulfill requests for specific colors.
